Cogan Primary School is located on the outskirts of the popular seaside town of Penarth in a residential area consisting of traditional and modern dwellings.
The school has fantastic playground and outdoor classroom facilities, including a green area for nature studies and has access to approximately six acres of grassland, which is immediately adjacent and is used for sporting and recreational purposes.
The school is proud of its strong links with parents and together with a hardworking and dedicated PTA and Governing Body, has raised the profile of the school within the local community, through a variety of well attended events.
A Vale of Glamorgan Leisure Centre is five minutes walk from the school, and Cogan has a direct rail and bus link with Cardiff General Station.
Cogan Nursery School is in the adjacent street whom we maintain close links with, allowing for a seamless transition between Nursery and Primary school. Likewise, children experience a smooth transition as they progress to St Cyres Comprehensive school, whom we visit regularly and maintain strong links.
Parents who are considering sending their children to Cogan Primary School may visit the school by prior arrangement with the Head Teacher.
